The collected oocysts of Eimeria spp. were used to spike other oocyst-free chicken feces to give final concentrations of 105, 104, 103, 102 oocytes/㎕. Oocyst DNA in fecal samples were extracted using Protozoan Oocysts/Cysts DNA Extraction Kit (INOT110) and analyzed by quantitative PCR (Opti™ Ei-qPCR, AVPS-010)
The oocysts from five Eimeria spp. that cause coccidiosis in layers (A) and/or broilers (B) were spiked into other oocyst-free chicken feces. Oocyst DNA in fecal samples were extracted using Protozoan Oocysts/Cysts DNA Extraction Kit (INOT110). The DNA of the five Eimeria spp. was simultaneously analyzed using multiplex probe-based qPCR assay.
