Currently, enzyme-based reactions have gradually replaced isotopic methods as the mainstream detection approach for Western Blot due to their safety, speed, and high sensitivity. Enzyme-based reactions can be combined with different substrates to achieve various detection methods, primarily two types: chemiluminescence and colorimetric/chromogenic detection. Chemiluminescence offers high sensitivity and ease of operation, making it the mainstream detection method for Western Blot, while colorimetric detection is mainly used in immunohistochemistry. Depending on sample and target protein abundance, we offer two ECL chemiluminescence kits with different sensitivity levels: high-sensitivity and ultra-high-sensitivity. Both kits are compatible with various membranes, blocking buffers, and a wide range of antibody diluents, delivering excellent performance, versatility, and cost-effectiveness to meet user needs in immunoblotting applications. The Ultra-High Sensitivity ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate offers even higher sensitivity, enabling detection of low-abundance target proteins that cannot be detected with conventional ECL substrates when used with optimized antibody concentrations and blocking buffers.
High-Sensitivity ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate
- High sensitivity: Detects protein bands in the low picogram range on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes
- Long-lasting signal: Light signal persists for 6‒8 hours
- Detection methods: Compatible with X-ray film, CCD, or laser gel imaging systems
- Cost-effective: Optimized for diluted antibody concentrations, saving antibody usage
- Easy to use: Can replace ECL substrates from other brands without requiring special optimization of procedures
