After protein extraction and quantification, protein loading buffer is added to process the protein samples for separation during electrophoresis. Protein loading buffer ensures that samples fully sink to the bottom of the loading wells during electrophoresis. Additionally, it contains negatively charged low-molecular-weight dyes (such as bromophenol blue) that migrate at the buffer front, allowing monitoring of electrophoresis progress. Our protein loading buffers are available in three types: denaturing, denaturing non-reducing, and non-denaturing non-reducing. An upgraded formulation is also available, which is safe, non-toxic, and odorless.
