Protein precast gels are pre-cast protein gels immersed in corresponding buffer solutions. When used, simply open the packaging, place the cassette into the electrophoresis tank, remove the comb, add running buffer, and load samples. They are single-use, eliminating the need for washing and drying glass plates and any gel preparation steps. Protein precast gels are safe, fast, and high-performance pre-cast polyacrylamide gels, commonly used for PAGE and Western Blot detection. They provide clear and straight bands with high-capacity loading wells for easy sample loading, and can be used for denaturing or native gel electrophoresis applications. Our protein precast gel products are available in both plastic and glass cassettes. Compared to plastic cassettes, glass cassettes effectively reduce non-specific protein binding, resulting in sharp, clear bands. Multiple buffer systems are available, including Tris-Glycine, Hepes-Tris, Bis-Tris, Tricine, Tris-Acetate, and Tricine-Imidazole buffer systems. The Tris-Glycine gel buffer system is the most commonly used electrophoresis buffer system, optimized based on the classic system to improve protein separation and storage stability. The Hepes-Tris gel buffer system offers excellent separation performance, suitable for various sample types and a wide range of protein molecular weights, producing flat, clear, fine, and sharp protein bands after electrophoresis. The Bis-Tris gel buffer system provides stronger buffering capacity; when used in combination with MOPS and MES buffers, it achieves better separation of high- and low-molecular-weight proteins. During electrophoresis, it maintains a neutral pH environment, helping to improve sample integrity and gel stability, making it suitable for low-abundance proteins and downstream applications. The Tricine gel buffer system is an improvement based on the Tris-Glycine system, replacing glycine in the electrophoresis buffer with tricine, and is suitable for analyzing peptides and low-molecular-weight proteins (2‒40 kDa), achieving ideal separation of low-molecular-weight proteins and peptides. The Tris-Acetate gel buffer system is commonly used for separating and detecting high-molecular-weight proteins (40‒500 kDa).
