For most studies, direct preparation of whole-cell lysates is sufficient to obtain soluble protein samples for downstream detection or further purification and separation. However, fractionating cells into different compartments or organelles prior to protein extraction can significantly increase the yield or enrichment of specific proteins.
Total Protein Extraction Kit
Our company offers a range of protein extraction kits specifically designed for animals, plants, bacteria, and yeast, enabling rapid, gentle, and efficient extraction of high-yield total protein from tissues and cells. The Animal Total Protein Extraction Kit (Spin Column Method) uses denaturing lysis buffer combined with spin columns to lyse cells without the need for sonication to disrupt DNA, making the extraction process simpler and more efficient. Protein extraction can be completed in approximately 10 minutes, allowing recovery of the majority of cellular proteins (including membrane, organelle, nuclear, nuclear matrix, and cytoplasmic proteins). The protein extraction lysis buffers contain protease and phosphatase inhibitors to maximize protein integrity. The resulting protein samples are suitable for downstream applications such as Western blot and immunoprecipitation.

Active Protein Extraction Kit
This kit is used to extract active total protein from mammalian tissues and cultured cells. The homogenization and lysis of tissues or cells are performed using a lysis buffer containing protease and phosphatase inhibitors. The process is gentle, simple, and efficient. The extracted total protein can be used for downstream applications such as Western blot, co-immunoprecipitation, and enzyme activity assays. However, it is not suitable for co-immunoprecipitation studies of protein kinases and phosphatases, as this kit contains

Subcellular Protein Extraction Kits
Nuclear and Cytoplasmic Protein Extraction Kit is used to extract nuclear or cytoplasmic proteins from mammalian tissues and cultured cells. The extraction process is simple and efficient. The extracted nuclear and cytoplasmic proteins maintain native activity and high purity, with excellent protein yield. The extracted proteins can be used for downstream applications such as transcription factor activity assays, gel shift assays, co-immunoprecipitation, Western blot, ELISA, and enzyme activity assays. Membrane and Cytoplasmic Protein Extraction Kit provides a unique formulation for extracting membrane and cytoplasmic proteins from cells and tissues. The principle involves cell lysis followed by centrifugation to isolate crude plasma membrane fractions, followed by the use of various detergents to separate membrane proteins. The resulting product contains not only plasma membrane proteins but also organelle membrane proteins such as those from mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, and Golgi apparatus. The extraction method is simple, reliable, and fast, yielding high amounts of membrane and cytoplasmic proteins suitable for downstream applications such as PAGE electrophoresis, Western blot, co-immunoprecipitation, and enzyme activity assays. Mitochondria Protein Extraction Kit first isolates intact and purified mitochondria from animal cells or tissues, then lyses the mitochondria with lysis buffer containing protease and phosphatase inhibitors to obtain highly pure mitochondrial proteins. This kit is suitable for preparing mitochondrial proteins from animal soft tissues (e.g., liver, brain), hard tissues (e.g., muscle), and cultured cells. The extracted mitochondrial proteins can be used for downstream applications such as Western blot and co-immunoprecipitation.
