Proteinase K Solution can be used directly for digesting various proteins and is applied in common molecular biology and cell biology experiments, such as genomic DNA extraction and enzymatic digestion removal. The optimal reaction temperature for Proteinase K is 65°C, but it rapidly degrades above 65°C, so a reaction temperature of 50‒55°C is typically used. Proteinase K exhibits higher activity in the presence of 0.2‒1% SDS or approximately 10 mM urea.
