Red Blood Cell Lysis Buffer is a solution used to lyse and remove anucleated red blood cells from human, mouse, or other blood and tissue samples. Its optimized formulation lyses red blood cells while causing minimal damage to lymphocytes or other nucleated cells. The main active ingredient is ammonium chloride. This product is not suitable for lysing nucleated red blood cells, such as those from birds or poultry. It has been sterile-processed, and the treated blood or tissue cell samples can be used for subsequent primary culture, cell fusion, nucleic acid or protein extraction, and various routine analyses and assays.
