Hemocytometer slide is a commonly used tool for cell counting. It’s made of high-quality thick glass and can be reused. Each counting chamber is divided into two identical counting pools by an H-shaped groove. There is a support pillar on each side of the counting pool. When a cover slip is placed over it, a counting pool with a height of 0.10mm is formed. Hemocytometer is often used to count blood cells, such as red blood cells, white blood cells, and can also be used for the counting of some microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, and yeasts.
